Dorn Primary Center

 
Dorn Primary Center is located in the well-established community of Hickory Hills, Illinois. It is a District-wide primary building with over 500 Kindergarten and First Grade students. Our diverse population creates an environment where students become culturally aware of the uniqueness of one another. Each child is provided with an opportunity to succeed. The curriculum is based on Illinois State Standards and what is developmentally appropriate, focusing and building on each student’s strengths.

96% of our kindergarten students will meet or exceed (75%) expectations using learning data from the kindergarten ISEL assessments, district quarterly assessments, and report card objectives. 96% of our first grade students will be meet or exceed (75%) expectations using learning data from the first grade ISEL assessments, district quarterly assessments, Terra Nova assessments and report card objectives.

Dorn Primary Center will improve parent/school communication. This will be measured by the feedback given on the end-of-the-year survey. 96% of the parents will respond positively on the end of the year parent survey. Objectives and Action Plan Dorn Primary Center is known for its excellent, innovative, and dedicated staff. We are committed to creating exciting and challenging learning opportunities to ensure all learners build upon their strengths and become life-long learners. We recognize the importance of a strong home/school connection and work hard to provide opportunities for parents to become involved at Dorn.
