LUNCH PROGRAM
The Lunch Program is available to all full day students. Menus are provided on a monthly basis. Elementary students may purchase lunch including milk for $1.85 per day. The cost for Junior High students is $1.85 per day without milk. Ala-Carte choices are also available at the Junior High. Lunch tickets are available for purchase once the school year begins. It is preferred that weekly meal tickets are purchased.
MILK PROGRAM The Milk Program offers 2% white milk cartons to students. The cost for milk purchased on a daily basis is $.40 per carton. The cost of milk for the school year is $68.00 for Quin School and Dorn Primary Center half-day students.
BAND PROGRAM Students in grades 5-8 may be involved in the Band Program. The band fee is $35.00 per year. Students in grades 6-8 must also pay a uniform rental fee of $20.00 per year to help defray the cost of the uniform purchase, bow ties and cleaning of uniforms. This fee is paid to the Band Director at the beginning of the school year.
ACTIVITY FEES All students in grades K-8 are assessed an activity fee. These fees help to pay for the after school programs at the elementary level such as art and science fairs and student council programs. The fee for grades K-1 is $10 and the fee for grades 2-5 is $13. At the Junior High, the fees help to support the extracurricular programs, student council, math team, school newspaper, declamation team, athletic teams, dance team, yearbook, drama club, National Junior Honor Society, etc. The fee is $33.
LOCKS Hall and P.E. locks are included in the 6th grade fees. New or replacement locks are available for 7th and 8th grade students at the cost of $4.50 each.
BUS SERVICE – OPTIONAL The school district provides bus service in accordance with guidelines established by the Illinois State Board of Education. Students residing one and a half miles or more from the school they attend are afforded free transportation. Student living less than one and a half miles from the school they attend are eligible for transportation at the annual fee of $200. Parents who choose not to schedule bus service at the beginning of the school year have the option of registering during the school year providing there is room on the bus route. Payment of the full annual transportation fee would be required. Service is available to day care facilities within our school district boundaries before and after the school day.
STUDENT INSURANCE – OPTIONAL Student accident/injury insurance is available. Information will be distributed at the beginning of the school year. Coverage ranges in cost from $16.00 for the standard school time insurance to $143.00 for the deluxe 24- hour coverage. Payment is made directly to the insurance company.
