Free bus transportation is provided under the State Transportation Program to students living BEYOND the 1 1/2 mile limit set by law. Students living within the 1 1/2 mile limit who wish to ride the bus may do so by paying a fee each year. Eligible students are issued bus passes and assigned to specific bus routes at the time all school fees are paid - temporary variations to the assigned bus routes will not be permitted. Students must have their bus pass with them whenever they ride the bus.
Bus drivers will stop only at scheduled stops; they will not wait for students not ready to board the bus at the time of its arrival. A charge will be made for the replacement of lost bus passes.
Students enrolled at the beginning of the school year must pay the yearly fee for transportation regardless of when they register for bus service.
Every bus rider will be supplied with a bus pass. Students must have their bus pass with them whenever they ride the bus. Students may purchase a replacement pass in the office for 50 cents.
