Individual Student Behavior - Clip Chart
Student choices are tracked on a clip chart. All students begin the day on green in the middle of the chart. Clothespins are moved up or down depending on choices. Clips that are moved down may be moved back up if the teacher sees the student making improved choices. In addition, once a clip is moved up, it may be moved down. All clothespins are moved back to green at the beginning of each day.
Students who reach the pink level will be rewarded for their outstanding positive choices. They will receive two tickets to enter in the weekly prize drawing and a sticker for their behavior card. Twenty stickers can be turned in for a special prize.
Students move to purple for making great behavior choices. They will receive a ticket to enter the weekly prize drawing.
Students move to blue for making good behavior choices. They will receive a ticket to enter the weekly prize drawing.
Ready to Learn
All students will start the day on green. They will move up or down the clip chart, depending on their choices.
Think About It
Students move their clip to yellow as a reminder to follow classroom rules.
When students move to orange, they will receive a consequence based on the specific behavior, such as loss of recess or other special privilege.
If students move their clip to red, the teacher will contact a parent or guardian about the behavior.
At the end of each week, there will be a drawing for students to receive prizes. The more tickets students earn during the week, the more chances they have of earning special rewards!Class Incentive
Every time our class is being:
Here and Ready
We will hang a monkey on the ring!
Once we earn 20 monkeys, the class will receive a special reward! If our class is “monkeying” around, a monkey will be removed from the ring. All students must end the day at green or above!
