• Welcome!

Hello, I am Mrs. Alsabah. I am so excited to be your ELA teacher this year! We are going to learn so many new and exciting things together.

I am very passionate about teaching all subjects; Writing is my absolute favorite. Social Studies is another one of my favorite subjects because I enjoy learning all about different cultures and traditions around the world. I also love incorporating technology into the classroom; so get ready to get tech-savvy with me.

Something that I think is very important is that we work together as a classroom family. We will be spending lots of time together so it is important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you have a unique and different brain, which means you think and learn differently. It is my job and goal as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and person of good character.

Want to know a little bit about me? When I am not planning lessons or grading papers, you can find me at the gym working out or on Pinterest browsing through teacher pages and collecting ideas for the classroom. I love spending time time with my family.  I actually attended District 117 growing up, and so it is an honor to work in the district that shaped and inspired my love for Education. I graduated and received my Bachelors degree from Roosevelt University with a concentration in Language Arts and a Middle School Endorsement.

I cannot wait to get to know you and your family. I anticipate an amazing yearfilled with memories of learning and adventure.  Please never hesitate to contact me for any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to hearing from you.
