    • Objective: The purpose of Track and Field is to develop successful, well-rounded athletes/students through the emergence of skills for teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, and the advancement of physical and mental talents. 
       
    • The track team practices daily from March through the SWIC Conference Meet the second Saturday in May.  A practice and meet schedule will be given to athletes after a SWIC Conference coaches meeting in March.  Practices typically run from 2:30-4:00 with buses provided. 
    • The track team does NOT cut students based on ability. There are no try-outs.  As long as team members are meeting team expectations, they will remain on the team. However, ability will be considered when deciding who will go to the track meets.
     
    • For practice, bring a water bottle, running apparel (for inside and outside), and running shoes.  We might run outside or in the gym depending on the weather. Especially this year with construction, we will be running more in the grassy area which can get wet/muddy; plan shoes accordingly.
