Conrady Teachers See Students During Parades

Scores of Conrady Junior High School students and some of their parents braved 40-degree temperatures Monday to wave and cheer to teachers during separate parades that traveled through parts of Palos Hills, Hickory Hills and Bridgeview.

Teachers driving cars that were decorated with paint or with signs conveying how much they loved and missed their students followed parade routes that left from both Sorrick School in Palos Hills and Dorn School in Hickory Hills.

More than 60 cars and trucks left the schools at just after 10 a.m. for the hour-and-a-half parades that reunited - albeit through social distancing - teachers and the students they hadn't seen in about two months.
