Preschool Registration - Whitman-Hanson Regional School District

Pre-Kindergarten Screening (3-5 years old)

Welcome to the Pre-Kindergarten registration page! Preschool for All is no longer accepting registrations for the Spring Screening. We will have more details soon!

Preschool FAQS

*Registration to be screened is NOT an automatic placement within the program.*

  • Currently enrolled Pre-K students DO NOT need to register for screening.
  • Your child needs to be 3 years old prior to 9/2 of the fiscal school year you are registering for. If your child is NOT 3 years old prior to 9/2, they are ineligible to participate in the screening and you have to wait for the following school year.
  • See fliers for all required paperwork needed to secure an appointment.
  • An appointment for screening does NOT result in a guaranteed placement within the program.
  • You will not receive an immediate call from the building secretary once you register.
  • Screenings for Dorn and Sorrick are conducted on different days. Make sure you are following the guides for the school your child would attend if eligible.
  • If your child is not accepted into the program, he/she will be placed on an automatic waitlist until they are Kindergarten age.

About our Preschool For All Program!

Pre-K is a half-day program:

  • Morning Session:  9:00-11:30 AM
  • Afternoon Session:  12:45-3:15 PM.

Pre-K students attend school five days per week; Monday--Friday.

  • The determination of AM or PM placement is determined in a manner to be most conducive to a heterogeneous pupil classroom model and which is designed to meet the individual needs of students. No requests will be taken.
    • Placements are determined by the Preschool Coordinator
  • Pre-K is a free program. Bus transportation is also free.
  • Parents are required to participate in an in-person, or virtual opportunity at least once a month (more information regarding this will be provided during screening).
  • At your earliest convenience, review the preschool immunization and health requirements if your child qualifies for the program.
