Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence Award

The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence is a non-profit organization backed by both private and public funding. The Foundation seeks to help Illinois organizations continuously improve their performance by encouraging, developing and highlighting excellence among all five sectors of the economy: industry, service, health care, education, and government.

In 2011 they announced that North Palos School District 117 had received the 2010 Lincoln Bronze Award for "Commitment to Excellence" for their efforts to adopt and apply continuous improvement principles.

In total, there were 13 organizations honored for performance excellence. District 117 was one of only two school districts in the state (the other was a high school district in Arlington Heights) to be honored.
