Voice

Voice disorders are the quality of voice that may include: hoarseness, nasality, and volume, (too loud or too soft).  Studies indicate that chronic hoarseness is more prevalent in boys and higher primary grades.  Vocal nodules (bumps on the vocal folds) may occur as a result.

Typically children are referred out and seen by their doctor, or an Otolaryngologist; a physician specializing in voice.
